Nigerian business and economic atmosphere is perceived in Africa as
one of the biggest and more business-friendly environment. However, it
is surprising that the country prided as the giant of Africa is
currently enmeshed in the gradual downfall of many once upon a time big
companies. Some of the more seemingly successful companies are gradually
going down the drain with the likes of Dunlop, Cocoa Industries and
many others finding their ways out.
Well, the hot gist here is that one company which has established
itself in Nigeria for decades and is still rated to be strong, Coca
Cola, may not be as strong as people may think. Information reaching our
desk has it that the management of the company, having discovered that
there had been some discrepancies in the auditing of the sales
department, which is one of the most important segments of the company
decided to subsidize the arm to a private company named Oritsetimeyin
Logistics.
This company, according to reports, has been struggling to put the
record straight as far as the sales of the company’s products are
concerned. We also have it on good authority that the Nigerna Bottling
Company, manufacturers of Coca Cola are still planning to subsidize some
other departments to more private companies for better performances.
